Lisa Konick, PhD, Founder
Dr. Lisa Konick is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in the evaluation and treatment of a range of psychological and behavioral problems, including depression and mood disorders, anxiety, attention and hyperactivity (ADHD), and autistic spectrum disorders. Dr. Konick earned her doctoral degree from Northern Illinois University and completed her psychology internship at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital. She has been involved in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and families across a variety of settings, including community mental health, residential, intensive outpatient, and inpatient hospital environments. Dr. Konick was extensively involved in research at Northern Illinois University and Case Western Reserve University's Department of Psychiatry and Neuroscience. Her research has been widely disseminated through journal publications and national and international conferences. She is also a Cognitive Behavior Therapist so she will help you change patterns of thinking or behavior that are behind your difficulties.

Maureen Khan, PsyD, Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Maureen Khan is a Clinical Psychologist and Post-Doctoral Fellow. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors to provide neuropsychological, neuro-cognitive, diagnostic, and psychological assessments. Dr. Khan received her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Khan’s early research focused on the development of a program to educate children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder on bullying prevention.
Dr. Khan is experienced working with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors diagnosed with chronic and severe mental illness, as well as intellectual and developmental disabilities. She also has specialized experience conducting diagnostic assessments and providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults on the autistic spectrum. Dr. Khan is thorough and comprehensive in her approach to psychological testing and assessment. She has a passion for identifying the underlying factors that are contributing to an individual’s difficulties and offering individualized recommendations for interventions that will improve one’s functioning in the home, work, and educational settings.
Sandra Lukashevich, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Sandra Lukashevich is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. She received a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from North Park University. She works with children, adolescents, adults, seniors and families to provide counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, domestic violence, and other life challenges. Sandra is a dynamic, compassionate, and insightful therapist. She is able to quickly establish rapport with individuals, couples, and families. As a Cognitive Behavior Therapist, Sandra combines supportive education with research-based methods to equip clients with the necessary tools to overcome their symptoms and to transfer learned skills to real-life situations outside of the therapy session. Sandra takes a mindful approach to counseling. Her work with couples incorporates validated intervention approaches, including the Gottman Method and Emotional Focused Therapy techniques, which enable the couple to uncover and address foundational challenges in their relationship.
Sandra’s background includes experience with trauma and domestic violence victims. Her skills in these areas focus on empowering children and adults to prevail over the pain that has impacted their lives. Her experience also includes counseling for self-harm, bullying, PTSD, and gender and sexual identity issues.
In addition, Sandra provides counseling and cognitive rehabilitation therapy to persons with a dementia diagnosis with a clinical focus on preserving cognitive function, addressing co-occurring mental health symptoms, and assisting patients to maintain their highest level of independent functioning.
Jennifer Palmer, PsyD, Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Jennifer Palmer is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides psychological and diagnostic assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. She is passionate about working with individuals with developmental disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disabilities, as well as general psychological or mental health concerns. Throughout her work, Dr. Palmer strives to create individualized plans for each client that incorporate empirically-based assessment tools and treatment interventions.
Dr. Palmer values working with patients’ families, educational teams, and outpatient providers. This allows her to create a comprehensive understanding of each client and to facilitate collaboration and consistency among the patients’ support systems. Often, this can lead to greater support for clients and, consequently, improvements in their functioning across different settings.
Dr. Palmer received her Doctor of Psychology degree (Psy.D.) from Midwestern University and her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, San Diego. Throughout graduate school, she trained at various Chicagoland sites, including settings such as community mental health, hospital, and private practice. She completed her APA-approved internship in NYC, which focused on supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities and comorbid mental health challenges.
Heather Schoolfield, Billing Manager
Heather Schoolfield joined Konick & Associates in 2019. Heather is the Billing Manager for the practice. Heather has a degree in Medical Billing and Coding and she has worked in billing administration since 2010. Heather assists clients with all aspects of their patient accounts, including verification of insurance benefits, pre-authorization documents, claims submissions, and invoicing and payment processes. She has a passion for helping others while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality in communications with existing and prospective clients.
Annie Farnaus, Administrative Manager
Konick & Associates welcomed Annie Farnaus as the Administrative Manager in 2019.
