Konick & Associates is expanding its Center for Testing and is seeking an experienced Forensic Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to provide specialized forensic evaluation and clinical therapy services, with a particular emphasis on children, adolescents, families, and family court matters.
This is an opportunity for a psychologist with forensic training and experience who is interested in joining an established, multidisciplinary behavioral health organization and helping expand a child and family-focused forensic service line.
Our Center for Testing has built a strong reputation for comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessment, with particular expertise in children, adolescents, neurodivergent individuals, ADHD, autism, and complex diagnostic questions. We are expanding this foundation to include forensic psychology and court-related services while also providing clinically appropriate therapy and family support for children and families navigating divorce and other family transitions.
Position Overview
The psychologist will provide a combination of forensic assessment, court-related consultation, and clinical therapy, with opportunities to work with children and families across both evaluative and treatment contexts.
The position reports to the Director of Testing, with secondary clinical support and collaboration from the Clinical Director of Therapy Services. K&A provides administrative, scheduling, billing, and operational support, allowing the psychologist to focus on clinical services and professional responsibilities.
As the forensic service line develops, the psychologist will have an opportunity to contribute to the growth of forensic services at K&A, including establishing relationships with GALs, attorneys, and other referral sources and helping shape appropriate workflows and services for children and families involved in the legal system.
There will also be opportunities to supervise doctoral-level psychology interns with an interest in forensic psychology who are completing their internship at K&A.

The psychologist will maintain a clear distinction between treatment and forensic evaluation roles and practice within appropriate ethical, legal, and professional boundaries. In court-involved cases, the psychologist should be comfortable collaborating with GALs, attorneys, and other professionals while maintaining appropriate confidentiality, objectivity, and clearly defined clinical roles.

Qualifications
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
- Active Illinois psychologist license

This position follows a train-to-hire philosophy for interns who demonstrate strong clinical skills and alignment with practice values.
This is a 12-month training position requiring 16–20 hours on-site per week, including weekly on-site supervision, clinical observation, and didactic training. Interns manage a supervised caseload representing approximately 50% of their time in the office (typically 8–10 clients weekly), while developing skills in clinical documentation, case formulation, and evidence-based intervention. Interns are expected to be motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative team members committed to professional growth. Interns must be available at least two weekday afternoons and evenings to accommodate client scheduling needs; weekend availability is beneficial for client scheduling.

The position may be structured as a full assessment role or a hybrid role combining assessment and therapy, depending on the psychologist’s interests and expertise.

Konick and Associates is seeking Postdoctoral Psychology Fellows to provide comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments within our Center for Testing. This position emphasizes advanced training in diagnostic evaluation, with the option to develop a therapy caseload for fellows interested in a hybrid assessment and therapy role.
Fellows administer, score, and interpret psychological and neuropsychological measures and develop integrated diagnostic reports under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist within the Center for Testing. Fellows are fully integrated into our clinical team and training model, with opportunities to collaborate with psychometricians, mentor psychology interns, and contribute to high-quality diagnostic care.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program
- Completion of an APA-accredited internship prior to start date
- Strong training and experience in psychological assessment required
- Advanced training in neuropsychological and developmental assessment preferred
- Strong diagnostic formulation and integrated report writing skills
- Interest in working with children, adolescents, and adults
- Interest in developing therapy skills (optional hybrid track)
Hybrid role with in-office assessment services and remote report writing flexibility; weekday availability required, with evening and/or weekend availability needed for fellows electing to maintain a therapy caseload.

Konick and Associates is seeking Doctoral-Level Psychology Interns to join our Center for Testing for a 12-month diagnostic training experience. Our program follows a developmental training model, with responsibilities tailored to the trainee’s level of experience. Diagnostic internships are available for early doctoral students, with advanced interns assuming increased responsibility in the assessment process and the option to develop a small therapy caseload.
Interns receive comprehensive training in psychological and neuropsychological assessment, including clinical intake, test administration, scoring, interpretation, diagnostic formulation, report writing, and feedback, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Advanced interns may pursue hybrid training that includes therapy, with priority given to child and teen populations, neurodivergence, and LGBTQ+ identities.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral student (PhD or PsyD) in good standing from an accredited in-person clinical psychology program (we do not accept online university program applicants at this time)
- Strong interest in psychological and neuropsychological assessment
- Successful completion of ethics and clinical assessment coursework
- Solid training emphasis in empirically supported treatments
- Strong clinical writing, diagnostic reasoning, and interpersonal skills
- Experience or interest in neurodiverse populations highly valued
- Experience working with LGBTQ+ clients highly valued
This is a 12-month, 20 hour per week on-site training position with weekly individual and group supervision, structured didactics, and mentorship. Hybrid therapy opportunities available for advanced interns; weekday afternoon and evening availability required for those electing a therapy caseload.
