Jennifer Curtin, LCPC

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor 

Jennifer Curtin, MS, LCPC  (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She received a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University. She is a queer woman and works with the LGBTQIA+ community, including adolescents, adults, relationships, and families.  Jennifer is a WPATH trained gender clinician and is poly, kink and fetish informed.  Jennifer provides counseling for:

  • WPATH (World Professional Association of Transgender Healthcare) General Education Initiative Training, pursuing path to certification

  • Internal Family Systems trained

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Trained

  • Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

Jennifer’s approach is realistic, yet nurturing, and rooted in neuropsychology and the mind-body connection. Her style is empathetic, warm and infuses humor where she can. Working with clients in the present moment, her work draws on past experiences and relationships to build personal insight.  Jennifer works through a minority stress, trauma informed lens.

In addition, Jennifer is a gifted public speaker and trainer.  She provides continuing education (CE) offerings for establishing clinical competency in working with Transgender clients, non traditional family systems and the intersections between gender identity and neurodiversity.  Jennifer also performs in local storytelling events for the LGBTQ community.
