Katie Rosenberg, EdS

Psychometrician / Testing Specialist

Katie (she/her) is a diagnostic specialist in The Center for Testing at Konick and Associates.  After receiving her Education Specialist (Ed.S) degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2017, Katie worked as an ISBE licensed school psychologist for five years in early childhood, elementary, and middle school settings. As a school psychologist, she was able to support children with a range of social, emotional, and learning needs. She is well versed in using a variety of assessment tools to complete comprehensive evaluations and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504 plans, and interventions with special educators and therapists. She has experience supporting children and their families throughout the special education evaluation process and is well versed with IDEA and Section 504. In the school setting, Katie has had experience working with children who experience:

  • Developmental delays

  • Speech/language impairment

  • Learning disability

  • Autism spectrum disorder

  • Visual, hearing, and physical impairment

  • ADHD

  • Emotional disability

  • Intellectual disability

In order to best support these students, Katie’s primary responsibilities included collecting and analyzing data for initial evaluations, re-evaluations, problem-solving, and district-wide benchmarking periods. She was further trained in and regularly utilized Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and Menta methods to support students who experienced difficulties regulating their emotions.

 

Katie is eager to help and is passionate about completing thorough evaluations, writing comprehensive reports, and working with families to support their child’s social, emotional, and learning needs.
