Living with Loss: 
A Grief Support Group

 When we experience loss, it's hard to see beyond our bereavement. Watching our loved ones decline is one of the hardest life experiences. Through the group therapy bereavement process, we will discuss healing tools, share stories, and ways in which you can honor the memory of loved ones through creative means. 

This group is designed to support individuals who are suffering from losses due to:

• Bereavement 

• Personal losses due to COVID 

• Loss of loved ones through alcohol and/or substance abuse

Who:  Adults (Age 20+) 

​

When:   Bimonthly on Monday nights from 6:00 - 7:00 PM 

​

Frequency:   8 sessions per series 

 

Cost:  $35 per session (can be billed to insurance if in-network)

Group sessions will be led by Dr. Mary Ann Andrade-Bekker, LCPC and held in person at our Naperville location.  Virtual options may be available depending on demand.

Initial Screening Assessment

A 60 minute screening assessment is required as part of the registration process to determine the appropriate fit for group therapy.  This assessment must be completed before your attendance in group therapy sessions.  We recommend scheduling at least two weeks prior to the first group therapy session.  Out of pocket costs for the assessment is $170.  For in-network clients with BCBS PPO or Blue Choice insurance coverage, the assessment may be billed to your insurance.

 

Registration

Clients interested in this group will register for an 8 session series in order to maintain consistency and cohesiveness within the group.  To register for the group and schedule your screening assessment, please contact our office at 630.206.4060 x 3 or email Info@konickandassociates.com.  You will receive intake paperwork to be completed prior to the first appointment.  You may also submit a request via our Contact Form.

Payment Information

You will be responsible for payment for the full series, and payment is due in advance.  For those with group therapy coverage on their BCBS PPO or Blue Choice plans, claims will be submitted on your behalf after each group session, and you will be responsible for any deductibles, copayments or co-insurance in accordance with your plan benefits.  Note, insurance does not cover missed sessions.  Any missed sessions will be the client’s responsibility and will be charged at the full rate ($35 per session) to the credit card on file.
